In the July holidays, St Andrew’s Anglican College is hosting the inaugural Sunshine Coast Music Education Conference – a conference for Primary and Secondary Music teachers from across the State. We are welcoming the inspirational Richard Gill, OAM, to present alongside specialists Maree Henessey and Russell Bauer, on the conference theme of ‘Engaged Teachers, Engaged Students’.
The Sunshine Coast Music Education Conference seeks to contribute to a growing community of classroom music teachers and provide an opportunity to inform the provision of high quality classroom music education in schools. The conference presenters are of the highest calibre, and are teachers themselves: they will challenge our thinking through active workshops and discussions.
It’s great to be able to host an event such as this, and we are confident that this will further the status of music education at St Andrew’s, and across the region.
